So, I've been schlepping the digital camera over to the lake when I go walking. The purpose behind this being to capture the change of the season. The husband and I had this idea years ago, and we finally decided to actually do it this year. Fortunately the camera is light, but effective. Today, I took some extra shots because I liked the light. So, this is the Minneapolis skyline from the southeast shore of Lake Harriet.

This is what I get to gaze upon every day when I go walking. Eat your hearts out.
You'll see the rest of the pictures when all the leaves are down. Which shouldn't be too long from now because it frosted last night.

It would be the curious phenomenon that is caused when the mercury in your average Fahrenheit thermometer drops down below thirty-two degrees.
All sorts of interesting things happen then. Plants die. Blankets get thrown on beds. Furnaces get turned on. Snowblowers get tuned. You know, that sort of thing.

With a view like that you must be some kind of... cake eater! I think I'll be biking by there tomorrow after brunch at the Uptown. I'll make a mental note of the frost effect.

I didn't even need to read the text to know the scene, and I haven't lived there in 25 years (but everywhere else...). I wonder if Chris Seymour's name is still up in the conncession building or whatever the heck it's called that I worked in a teenager...

I went to the Uptown Bar and Grill with a date. Omelettes all around preceded by bloody marys. Followed by a bike ride around Calhoun, Harriet and Lake of the Isles. I noticed the approximate spot where you took the picture. It's a beautiful area. The houses are amazing!

There were some "accidental" hash browns on my plate. I could have used some more, even though I was unable to finish my plate.
