How Do You Like Them Apples?
Courtesy of the Llamas, we have an individual who's going to stick it to A Supreme for their Kelo vote.

This is America, dude. Anything's possible here!
And it's time to remind SCOTUS of that.

Ok. "Zonker, there's a reason for the preview button."
Although, unless you meant the opposite, I'm baffled as to why you would think you should have previewed this comment.
But I need a nap right now, so don't trust my judgment.

I'm going to be cheering for this project to commence. Maybe the developers could raffle off the right to drive the first bulldozer through the Souter homestead....heck, I'd buy a handfull of tickets for that one.
I just wish the developers had done this the right way. They really should have checked the assessed value of the property at the local recorder's office, and then sent a registered letter to Mr. Souter offering him that amount plus 15%. Without that offer to the landowner, I'm afraid that a court can throw out the eminent domain process, even if a majority of the town council supports the project. If the developers can't show that they made a good faith effort to acquire the property before asking the town to step in & use eminent domain, that just shows this to be a grandstanding PR stunt, instead of a good-faith effort to build the project.
I'd love to hear Madame Sadie or the Llamas give their 2 cents worth on this issue.
