The Stifling of "Louie-Louie"

Does anyone else find it ironic * that a school superintendant is trying to keep a marching band from playing Louie-Louie because she finds the lyrics to be offensive?

*and by that I don't really mean ironic in the true sense of the word, which would be "unexpected," but am rather slagging off and mean it's "moronic" instead. Because I'm hip with the ways and means of language that way.

2 Oh Gawd, and it's here in Michigan too...*Hangs head in Shame* Benton Harbor has been a hot bed of racial tensions in Michigan the past few years....The Rev. Jesse Jackson even paid a visit in a effort to incite...I mean quell the tensions and bring about some dischord....I mean racial harmony... School bands have been playing Louie-Louie for years...Hell, My daughter atttends a Christian school and they've played it there too. Gimme a break!

3 Some things just boggle the mind. I'm with Ruth. The PC stuff has gone way overboard.

4 That is nuts. I can't even remember the words except for "we gotta go now".
