Things That Make Me Laugh

Whenever I'm flying and get even more edgy than usual, I always think back to that classic bit of throw-away from Airplane! where Ted Stryker is sitting in the plane seat next to the little old lady:

LOL: Nervous?

Stryker: Yes....a little.

LOL (reassuringly): First time?

Stryker: No, I've been nervous before.

Always cracks me up. And usually gets my mind off the flight.

1 The joke that never grows old for me is a little recurring dialog I've been having with my son since he was a junior high schooler. Whenever the boy answers the phone, I intone (in my best Vader-esque voice), "I ... am your father!" He of course responds as Luke Skywalker, "Nooooooo!" Pulling the phone away from his mouth so the voice fades. We chuckle and then go on with the rest of the conversation. The boy is now in college, but the gag still cracks me up every time.
